TRAINING 

I am hoping to train with Branching Out in Glasgow next week.  this will enable me to be a sessional worker at other Branching out events. 



OCTOBER 2012

FOREST SCHOOL PARTY IN EDINBURGH 




We all had lots of fun running a forest school party. We made bows and arrows,toasted marshmallows and built a large den. I am available to do this all year round.

SEPTEMBER 2012

OUTDOOR WOODLAND LEARNING PROJECT

I will be providing CPD to the Outdoor Woodland Learning Project in  Edinburgh in October and taking on a forest school party as well.


AUGUST 2012

NORTH LIGHT IN DUNBAR

It's on the 19th of August from 11 am to 3 pm

Come down on Sunday and make bees or a butterflies out of felt using plants from the garden for inspiration at Dunbar, for the north light festival. 


Explore some of our precious bees and butterflies which we hope will be attracted to the wild flower art works sown in Lauderdale Park

There will be a wet felting workshop where young people will be shown traditional methods of making felt using natural local wool coloured with organic dyes to create bee or butterfly hangings to take away FREE!

Drop in activity for families and young people.

THE BIG TENT FESTIVAL

The Big Tent saw many people making wonderful insects out of clay and found materials.We had adults and children playing in the sun for most of the weekend!

THE DISCOVERY DOME FILM

At last the film and information on the Natural Museums of Scotland website on the construction of the Dome that I was involved in. 







JUNE 2012

THE EDEN FESTIVAL

 

We had clapping workshops and Salsa as well as minibeast workshops using natural materials. Natural Creatives went to Eden festival. We advertised ourselves as landscape architects, dancers, environmental artists and forest school practitioners - happy to work any where in Scotland.
Next stop THE BIG TENT in Falkland.

JUNE 2012

THE BIG TENT FESTIVAL  and  THE EDEN FESTIVAL

I am off to these two festivals in June and July with other creative people.
Maria Conte from Flamenco Puro who will give ad hoc dancing workshops. She runs the HISPANIC FESTIVAL in Edinburgh. 
 

I will be there to help build clay animals with found natural materials.

MAY 2012

Finished the dome for the Museum and had a great opening for all the schools involved.


Also worked at Dunbar Primary to make a felt panel for the Kittiwake Trail at Dunbar Harbour on the 2nd of June.

APRIL 2012

We managed to finish pinning all the poles. Hope they stay in now . . . . now have 11 panels but there are still 18 more pockets to make for the opening in May.

Also finished all the willow domes in Fife and Clackmannenshire. 

Forest School Easter Term starts tomorrow when we will be making gazoos and building dens.Also twizzlers round our fire.

I will be forest schooling at the BIG TENT IN FIFE and at the EDEN FESTIVAL as well.

Also  . . . will start community gardening for HUNTER'S HALL from Friday 6th for 36 weeks which should help some of the members get stuff in their plots and get their greenhouse up. 

But now  . . . just have a look at these beautiful felt panels which are all copies of designs produced by the kids themselves
